The website currently uses no third-party analytics. The web server logs details about each visitor, such as date and time, the first two decimal numbers of the IP address (for example IP is stored as, browser version, and which pages were accessed. Those logs are kept for 30 days and then deleted. This information is used to see which other websites currently bring visitors to our website. The website is HTTPS-only for your privacy and security.

iOS and macOS App

Textastic is designed to keep your information private. It does this by collecting as little information and using as few third party services as possible.

The app uses Microsoft App Center (previously HockeyApp) for crash reporting. The user is always asked before crash reports are sent. Crash reports are used to improve the stability and reliability of the app.

Logins and credentials you enter in the iOS app are securely stored in the operating system's keychain on your device only. They are only used when the user requests to log in to servers (for example (S)FTP, Dropbox, Google Drive, WebDAV, or SSH), but never sent to anyone else. Note: if you enable the "Debug Log" functionality for FTP connections, the password may be logged in the log file.

The macOS app does not currently ask for logins or credentials.

Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, update, export, or delete your personal information. You may email us at support@textasticapp.com with any such requests, and we will respond within thirty days.
