Which purchase options are available?
Textastic offers three purchase options on iOS/iPadOS:
Annual subscription
Monthly subscription
One-time purchase
Textastic offers a 7-day free trial when starting an annual or monthly subscription.
Pricing varies by region and currency, and may change over time. Check the App Store for current pricing in your country or region.
All in-app purchases support Family Sharing: share Textastic with up to five other family members.

I started a trial or subscription. How can I switch to the one-time purchase?
If you already started a trial or subscription, first cancel the subscription to prevent renewal.
After canceling, wait until the trial period or subscription has fully expired. Then:
Open Textastic.
Go to .
Tap All Plans.
Tap One-Time Purchase.
Tap Purchase.
Is my iOS/iPadOS purchase also valid on macOS?
No. Textastic for macOS and Textastic for iOS/iPadOS are separate apps for different platforms, so each platform requires its own purchase.
The feature sets also differ. For example, the macOS version does not include remote connections and SSH terminal support.
Subscriptions
How do I cancel my subscription?
You can cancel your subscription at any time:
Method 1: Direct Link (Fastest)
On your iPad or iPhone, tap this link: Manage Subscriptions.
Select Textastic.
Tap Cancel Subscription.
Method 2: Cancel in Textastic
Open Textastic.
Go to .
Tap Manage Subscription.
Tap Cancel Subscription.
Method 3: Cancel in iOS Settings
Open the Settings app on your device.
Tap your name at the top.
Tap Subscriptions.
Select Textastic.
Tap Cancel Subscription.

If you are in a free trial, cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends to avoid being charged.
After canceling, your current period remains active until it ends.
Important
Deleting Textastic does not cancel your subscription.
Refunds
How do I request a refund?
To request a refund, use Apple’s report-a-problem website:
Go to https://reportaproblem.apple.com and sign in with your Apple Account.
From the I’d like to menu, select Request a refund.
Choose a reason and select Next.
Select the subscription, in-app purchase, or other item.
Choose Submit.
If you were charged for a subscription you no longer want, also cancel the subscription.
Refund decisions are made by Apple and are not guaranteed. Processing time and eligibility can vary by country or region.

Why can’t Textastic issue refunds directly?
All App Store purchases and subscriptions are handled by Apple. App developers do not have access to payment information and cannot issue refunds directly.
Previous Purchases
I purchased Textastic before April 3, 2025. Do I need Textastic Pro?
Quick answer by purchase date:
Purchased between March 12, 2016 (version 6.0) and April 2, 2025:
No additional purchase is required. All current features in version 10 are already unlocked.
Purchased before March 12, 2016 (before version 6.0):
Textastic Pro is required to unlock all features in the latest version of the app. You can continue using Textastic 5.3.1, which remains available to redownload from the App Store, but this version is very old and may not work well on current iOS versions. See Redownload apps from Apple for details.
Why these dates matter:
Textastic 6.0 was released as a new universal app for iPhone and iPad on March 12, 2016, replacing the previous separate apps, and was the first paid upgrade since version 1.0 in 2010.
On April 3, 2025 (version 10.6), Textastic changed from a paid upfront app to a free app with in-app purchases.
To check your status, open . If all features are already unlocked, no additional purchase is required.
If your previous purchase already unlocks all features, you can still purchase Textastic Pro to support ongoing development.
